EarthWave Grounding Mat Usage & Care Instructions

Step-by-Step Setup:

  1. Before setup, use the included outlet tester to check if your wall outlet is properly grounded for safe use.
  2. Remove the grounding mat from its packaging and unfold it.
  3. Place the grounding mat on your desk or the place you wish to connect it to your body. Ensure the conductive side (typically smoother and slightly shiny) is facing up.
  4. Attach the grounding cord to the connection snap on the mat.
  5. Plug the other end of the cord into a grounded wall outlet or adaptor.
  6. Once connected, the mat is ready for use. If available, use a grounding tester to ensure the connection is active and functioning.

Care Instructions:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the mat with a damp cloth using water. Do not submerge in water or use harsh chemicals.
  • Drying: Air dry the mat. Ensure it is completely dry before reconnecting it to the grounding cord. 

Warning and Safety Information:

  • Proper Connection: Always ensure the grounding cord is securely attached to both the sheet and a properly grounded outlet or grounding rod.
  • Electrical Safety: Do not use the grounding sheet in areas where electrical outlets are not properly grounded. Use a grounding tester if you are unsure about the outlet.
  • Children and Pets: Keep the grounding cord out of reach of small children and pets to prevent accidental choking or entanglement.
  • Health Considerations: If you have any medical conditions or use electronic medical devices (such as pacemakers), consult your healthcare provider before using the grounding sheet.

  • Use of Devices While Charging: Using electronic devices while they are charging on the grounding mat/sheet may cause a mild, uncomfortable sensation. This is not dangerous, but it is recommended to avoid using devices while they are plugged in and charging on the mat to ensure the best experience.
